Wikidata + Glitch + SPARQL

The CEO of Wikimedia just tweeted:

Anil Dash is the founder of Glitch. So I decided to look a bit into it, and built a nice Glitch app (quickly) to query Wikidata:

This uses the YSAR GUI.

Because Glitch also provides for Medium-embeddable links, you can even use it directly from Medium!

This is live, press the play button to search (replace “?subj” by “wd:Q42” first to search only on Douglas Adams).

Of course this is a repeat of the functionality in Wikidata’s query service, but it’s more customizable and there are decentralized community dynamics around improving it.
